FRANK BIELEC

Frank Bielec

Funny, friendly, artistic and all around multi-talented…yep it’s Frank Bielec.  Born in Sealy, Texas, Frank has stayed true to his roots and lives in the Houston area.  You may know Frank best as one of the interior designers of the TLC show Trading Spaces, but Frank is a man of many talents.  With a Master’s degree in education Frank taught art and social studies to elementary school kids.  He also earned a master of Fine Arts degree.  After eight years he was drawn to creating art with flowers and the florist industry. He has worked in this arena for over 20 years and done everything you can imagine.  Weddings, proms, decorated houses for Christmas, exhibited and won awards for his one of a kind art and flower designs and much more.  His favorite events to do are weddings.  He feels like he gets to share in a piece of history in the making each time.

Although he has worked with many mediums in flowers including silk, dried and of course fresh, his favorite to work with is fresh flowers.  He says it keeps him humble to work with life.  “Flowers are like their own little universe.  They are like a life in themselves. They are born, grow, mature, bud out and then are gone” says Frank.  He has worked with a number of floral shops and event companies but is currently at a shop called Blossoms.  He loves what he does because he knows every flower creation brings aonther smile.

Frank is excited to be our featured artist-instructor in the Show's new hands-on activity area "The Make 'n Take Courtyard".  Frank will offer two separate classes each day; Flower Arranging Basics and a four part series where he will provide instruction on doing your own bridal flowers from pew markers to the bride's bouquet. A separate item in the bridal package will be covered each day.  All of the flower and materials needed to create your own arrangement will be provided.  A nominal material fee will apply.

Frank spreads happiness where ever he goes with his positive attitude and infectious smile.  His art work has brought joy to people of all ages as he co-founded the business Mosey ‘n Me with his wife in 1989.  Together they have written a number of books which include “Mixes in Jars for Kids!”, “Mosey ‘n Me the Book”, “Mosey ‘n Me the Sequel” and is currently working on another book.  To learn more about Frank, his endeavors and his business visit his website at www.moseynme.com.
